Aqua Roma
The Waters of Rome: Waste or Fresh, the Romans knew what to do with their liquids!

The Roman Empire, as they say, was not built in a day. In the beginning, when it was just a simple republic, there was no great need for massive water transport. Eventually, however, with the Punic Wars and their victories over the Macedonians, the Romans began to add major amounts of territory to their little world. With its sudden and immense growth, the Roman Empire soon needed to address the serious problems of water. They needed more efficient ways of getting it, and cleaner, more discreet ways of getting rid of waste.
