The Thomas Jefferson Middle School Mathematics department recently participated in the "24 Challenge Program" sponsored by Conrail. The 24 game encourages students to use and develop mental math abilities. The students are given four one digit numbers which must be combined using a combination of the four basic operations to obtain an answer of 24. Example:
Example: 3:3:7:8=(8-7)*3*8=24
Try these:
Easy: 12:7:1:1
Medium: 10:3:3:12
Hard: 7:11:7:7
