History

Its been a while since I have been on the air and many keep asking and e-mailing to ask these questions and also when am I going to be back on the air in a market near you.

Well where do I begin.... Why not with a little history. Logan country was born after the passing of 103.5FM WYNY New York. I spent 8 glorious years partnered there with Bill Rock on "The Saturday Night Country Club" I was known as "Wes", the often obnoxious sidekick and sometimes fictitious owner of the radio station. The memories of and from that show are enough to last a lifetime, just not mine. That is why "LOGAN COUNTRY" was born.

Logan Country aired on 89.1FM WFDU Teaneck,NJ for almost 2&1/2 years. In that time we broke new ground, new artists and many people's ..... well you get it. We celebrated everything we could think of, birthdays, anniversaries, and for the most part Life. I once told a newspaper reporter during an interview that my show was about "sucking the marrow out of the proverbial bone of life" Some people would interpret that quote in strange ways, for them I can only say this: "Get your head out from under that rock and take a breath' In other words to quote a friend, "LIFE IS SHORT, LIVE LARGE"

I am often asked if I miss being on the air and when and I going to return to the New York Airwaves? Answer: Oh Yes and I'd say soon (can't say more, at least not right now so sshh) The show actually still does exist but since that like the voices are at present only in my head it does little for the audience.

When the show ended I had to figure out what to do with all the free time that was suddenly dropped in my lap. Since all the knitting classes were full at Night School and I was never one to enter a Triathalon I needed and outlet to fill all of the spaced freed up in my usually overworked life. It didn't take long to realize all the time missed fishing over the years and it was at that point the heavens parted and a voice spoke to me. Ok, so nothing really parted and the voices were actually just friends explaining to me that I could just go fishing more.
