The following series of pictures were put together to show storm damage over time from 1962 to the present.
All of the pictures show 14 East Atlantic Ave. Harvey Cedars.
Please do not misunderstand, this location is a typical representation of the storm damage in the same time frame through out town.
These pictures were chosen because of the consistency of the camera angle for comparison.

The Great Storm of March 1962 was caused by repetitious astrological high tides and severe Northeasters.
The majority of homes lost were not on pilings.
Land, dunes, beach were replenished by combination hydraulic dredging and bulldozing. Lands east of the Blvd. were raised significantly thus reducing future inland damage from over wash.
January 1993. Dirt trucked in from Dec '92 Storm.

January 3, 2006 after 2 days of strong North East winds, dunes had just been replenished by bulldozing.
