• K4IC; Thomas H. Miller; Lieutenant General in the United States Marine
  Corps, who had been Head of Marine Corps Aviation before his retirement in
  1979; very highly decorated combat pilot in WWII, Korea and Vietnam; set
  world's speed record on 5 September 1961 of 1216.78 mph in F-4 Phantom II,
  for which he received Distinguished Flying Cross; first American pilot to
  test British Harrier VTOL jump jet in 1966; said to be "closest friend" of
  Senator/Astronaut John Glenn.
