| K2AMH | Robert A. "Bob" Moog | Founder and President of RAMCO (1953), inventor of the theremin, as well as many other electronic wonders. His "Moog Synthesizer" became the ad-hoc standard for composers in the electronic media for many years. The landmark album, "Switched on Bach," was composed and performed using his device. Original nomination listed Mr. Moog's call as W2AMH. Subsequent research by W2SG confirms the call as K2AMH. |

From W2SG:
And here's Robert Moog, K2AMH, writing about Raymond Scott,
W2MEZ, both gentlemen were indisputably "electronic-music inventors,":

Also from Steve:
Here's the confirmation of Moog's call being K2AMH, not W2AMH.
See the byline for Moog's seminal 1954 article on his theremin design:
Go to http://moogarchives.com/; then
click on "Articles" on left-hand menu;
then click on "1954 Theremin" on left-hand menu; then click on
"Article
Page 1" at bottom of page. The pdf of the article shows his author byline
with "K2AMH."
And it is fair to say that Moog is at least a musician (if not a composer).
See the 1982-1983 listing at this link, where he was a featured soloist at
an electronic-music concert premiere in 1982:

Did know him well, but Bob moved to Asheville years ago, where I am
from. Don't think I ever heard him on the air but I did meet him a
couple of times...
