• Thanks. But I have been aware of that link for some time, and it is apparently wrong. It is also the only site to mention any call for Sarnoff. 2ZK was, a ham station in New Rochelle, NY, that was among the first to broadcast music in 1916. See, e.g.,

  However, according to the official government records, 2ZK was licensed to George C. Cannon, NOT Sarnoff. See:

• At this point, I have spent so many hours scouring the Web for "famous hams," there isn't that much left that I haven't seen. Most of the new ones I am coming up with are now based on new obituaries and other currently published materials that I come across. Coincidentally, I actually had a draft e-mail listing for Sarnoff with the same link you sent. However, after doing the research, as I said, it is apparently wrong. It may have been derived from one of the links I sent you that discusses 2ZK and Sarnoff in the same paragraph, which may have mislead the person who posted the captioned picture of Sarnoff at a telegraph station.
