1881 UK Census Lookups

1) You must give a complete name and at least the year of birth and place of either birth or where they were living at time of census. Be sure to include the COUNTY & COUNTRY you want searched as this set of CDs covers England, Scotlant & Wales and not all volunteers are familiar with the different town, county names. If the person you are searching for was a child, please give us the father or mother's name if known or possibly other siblings that may have been living at same residence. This will help us narrow down the correct family for you.

2) There is no way we can give you information on a person's parents unless the person you are requesting information on is listed as living with their parents at the time of the 1881 census.

3) WE WILL NOT DO A SURNAME SEARCH FOR EVERYONE IN A CERTAIN TOWN OR COUNTY!!!

4) Please put 1881 UK Census in the subject line of your message so we know what you are requesting. We do lookups in other areas and resources and if we cannot determine what you are asking us to check we will delete your request.

5) Only 2 families per request and only 1 request per week.

If you can follow the simple rules listed above then here are the people who are offering to do lookups in the 1881 UK Census. Remember, these people are volunteers, they have the right to delete or refuse to answer any requests that don't comply with the rules.

• Be sure to let your volunteer know that you have received the info they have sent. Some of them hold onto the data until receipt is acknowledged. Be sure to thank them!!
