I would like to start tracing the family history. All I know is that my grandparents and father were from Texas (Dallas). I don't have much information, so anything would help. All I know is that I am the last male within the family. Any help would be greatly appriecated.

They had 7 children one of which James Harvey Burgess was mygreat great grandfather: James Harvey married Mariam Walker Burgess ( no relation) in Groton Mass. They had 11 children one of which was Charles H Burgess, my great grandfather, who married Sophia Moore of Boxboro. Charles served in the Civil War for both Hew Hampshire and Massachusetts. they had 2 children Ellsworth and Milan H. both born in Ayer Mass. I hav quite a bit of information on the brothers and sisters of all these children and most f the ames of their spouses and children I would be happy to hear from anyone who might think that they are related

I have Thomas Jefferson Burgess ( Burges ) born 9/25/1867 in Wayne County, Mississippi. His date of death is 9/21/1944 in Shubuta, Clarke County, Mississippi. On his death certificate his mother is Susan Langley of Wayne County, MS and his father is listed as Thomas Frank Loper of Wayne County, MS. According to my mother-in-law, Thomas ( Tom ) was adopted by a Burges. I have not been able to find a marriage record for Susan and the unknown Burges or a first name or any other information on him. We believe his name may also be Thomas Jefferson. The daughter of Tom (9/21/1867) has died a long time ago and all the records she had was distroyed by a daughter-in-law. I am looking for information about a Keziah Burgess, born about 1790 in Virginia and died in Barren County Kentucky about 1860. She had three sons but I would like to know who her husband was and any other information.

I am looking for information on Elliott Burgess. I don't know anything about him other than he once married a woman named Mary. She won't tell us about him and he divorced her a long time ago. The only grandpa I've ever known died a few months ago so I'd like to find Elliott Burgess and see if he'd like to have contact with his grown sons (Gary, Kenneth, Bobby and Charlie). I'm loking for information on the family of Naaman L. BURGESS born in Boston, MA about 1802, parents unknown. He married Mary Jane RUTAN 15 June 1837 in New Orleans, LA. His date/place of deth unknown. Looking for the family history of Florence Burgess. She married John Laduke in Faribault Co., MN, then lived in Blue Earth in the same county. I am pretty sure she was born in Fondulac Co., WI. I located a Florence Burgess on the 1870 Minnesota Census for Faribault Co. but have no way of knowing if this is possibly the Florence I am looking for without more to tie it together. I searched on the names of her brothers that were listed on the census with her and came up with a family tree that listed a Maime Florence Burgess with brothers of the same names as on the census. It may be a possibility that she never used the given name of Maime. Still need something more concrete than speculation. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

I am looking for information on a Clarence S.Burgess whom I believe may have been married to my grandaunt. I have reason to believe she met him while she was living in Charleston SC and he was serving aboard the U.S.S. Hartford, at the Naval Shipyard in Charleston. They were most relocated to San Deigo. They had a son Clarence Jr. The only thing I know for sure about my grandaunt is that she later was married to a Dr. John Arnold in San Deigo and that she had one child who killed himself. I had alway assumed this to be her son with John Arnold. But have recently found pictures of a Winifred Burgess and her son C.S. Jr. taken in San Deigo. I believe now that she may have married Clarence S. Burgess and they had the child together. Whether they divorced or he died is unknown. I cannot absolutely identify the pictures as my Aunt but there is a great resemblence to her. She was born 1901 and I would guess would have married Clarence 1917-1920. So all I know of Clarence S. Burgess is that he was in the Navy stationed aboard the Hartford about this time, and later transfered to San Deigo. If anyone recognized this person, I would appreciation you contacting me. I researching the parents and siblings of William Miles Burgess, born 1853, place unknown-possibly Richmond, VA. The family story was that he was taken to TX as a young boy by his older brothers. Searching for the parents of Robert Henry Burgess, Sr. Born about 1826 in NC. Found on the 1850 Hickman TN census with his wife Caroline Paralee McCord, and children; Julia A. Burgess; Susan Burgess; Elizabeth Caroline Burgess and Robert Henry Burgess, Jr.; living with them was Robert Sr's mother, Mary.
