My gg grandfather was Nathanial Burgess in Pike Co. Ohio 1837 (land grant info) wife Mary, daughter Sarah. Sarah was only surviving child of four. I can't get any further back. There are other land grants made in Pike Co at the same time to Amos, Auchibald, and James Burgess. I hoping these others may be brothers or a father and can give me a lead. The second daughter married Andrew John Peterson on March 07, 1883 also in Burlington, Iowa and the youngest daughter Bertha Nathalia married Charlie Rudd on December 06, 1883 near Shickley, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Johan hiw wife duaghters and son-in-laws all lived in Fillmore County by the middle 1880's. Augusta and John Carlson had 12 children , 8 of these children grew up and married and all had children except for Bertha Eudora. Augusta and John Carlson lived in the Shickley Nebraska and Ong, Nebraska area and are buried in the Ong, Nebraska cemetery. Family tell that Florence or Dora once took care of Virgil Carlson during an extended illness. Virgil Carlson is the youngest son of Augusta and John Carlson. They lived in Amo, IN, and had three children, Rollie Ernest Burgess (my great-grandfather), Mamie A., and Geneva Lear. Moses' father was Shelton (Skelton?) Burgess. His birth certificate which my sister has lists his father as Saul Burgess and his mother Tyson Pendergrass. We know nothing about the mother and father or if they had any other children. I am looking for the parents of Green Burgess, b. 1832 in TN to parents who were born in VA (according to 1880 Williamson Co., TN census). In 1850, Green (age 17) was living in Williamson Co. in the household of Peter M. & Harriet Green Conley, so I think there must be a family connection somewhere. Does anyone know anything about this family or about a Burgess who married a Green (maybe Harriet's sister)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jenny

My Great-grandfater Edward Burgess b. april 1852 in Canada d 1940 m. Emily Demott of Canada. Edwards parents were Thomas Burgess and Margaret Edward of Canada. Edward had moved to MI and is in the Dryden, MI cemetary. I don't know if his father Thomas made it to MI. This is all I know. Any help? Thanks
