Radio Stations
What has happened to the radio stations lately? It seems like most are becoming the rock "alternative". But what happens when the "alternative" becomes mainstream - does that mean "classic" rock becomes the alternative? There is just something about a thirties - something guy in a Lexus blasting Nine Inch Nails. Why would anyone want to move out to the country to eat a lot of peaches? Peaches that come in a can, that are put there by a man, in a factory downtown. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like "alternative" music, I do enjoy most of it. I need to hear some Neil & Clapton & Stevie Ray Vaughan & Tull & Jeff Healey & Floyd & Tom Petty & Doors & Stones & well you know what I mean....
The Band is just fantastic
That is really what I think,
Oh, by the way, which one's Pink?
If you visit beautiful Sussex County, New Jersey, one of the first things you will notice in your car is that the radio reception stinks. There are a couple of local Top 40/Yanni/Walking On Sunshine/Bubblegum type stations but they just don't cut it for me. Here are 3 of my favorite Classic Rock and Roll Radio Stations in the Tri-State area (One from each state).
This is the station I listen to most of the time at work. The 10am to 3pm slot with
Terrie Carr
is very good.
This is the station I listen to most of the time at home. Unfortunately a few years ago an oldies station - NJ 101.5 - popped up. If you are in your car in Sussex County you will notice that they picked the Sussex airwaves to fight over.
This is a good station out of Bethlehem PA. It comes in well if your driving in the western section of Sussex County.
I don't know why I put this on a radio page but what the heck. You can find some info on your favorite band here or maybe about that song you heard on the radio.
So listen to your Radio
Most each and every night
'cause if you don't
I'm sure you won't
Get to feeling right...
