The world of Rolepaying Games...a world of imagination, books, and funny-shaped dice. It's a world I visited as a kid and remember fondly as an adult.

Briefly, RPGs are collective storytelling. One player is the GameMaster who controls the plot. Players use dialog, logic, imagination, and improvisation to successfully move their characters along the storyline. There's no real "winner." What you achieve depends on your participation.

Over three decades, RPGs have fought the stigma the public has that they are played only by arrested-development males who know more about junk food and slide rules than social skills. Partially true, but that isn't the norm. Ironically, RPGs are actually more social entertainment than passive movie-watching and more intellectual than other social gatherings.
