Explore the Routes across New Jersey used by the Continental and British
Armies from the Delaware to the Atlantic, and beyond.
Sponsored by the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield, Inc.
During the Summer of 1778, the two great armies of the American Revolution
marched across New Jersey as the British attempted to
reach the safety of New York City. On June 28, the armies clashed
at the Battle of Monmouth. The Road to Monmouth Heritage
Campaign will mark that epic trek in the summer of 2003, beginning
at Valley Forge & Philadelphia and ending in Paramus.
The Road to Monmouth Seminar and Tour in March, 2003 will provide participants
an opportunity to learn the story of this march across
New Jersey and the many sites and stories associated with this campaign,
an 18th century version of an army's march to the sea.
The Friends of Monmouth Battlefield, in cooperation with the Road to
Monmouth Partnership, are pleased to invite you to join with us as
we explore this chapter of New Jersey's role as Crossroads of the Revolution.
