The OE-82M Mock-Up Antenna
The goal of the OE-82M is to look like an OE-82C, shown in this photograph:

David Ziegler, from San Diego, Calif., discuss the capabilities of the
OE-82 radar system, affectionately known as a trash can, onboard USS CURTS

The image can be processed further to show
the structure of the antenna:
This antenna is also shown on the manufacturer's
web site:
This shows that the wall of the Backfire array is
metal with three rings, looking very much like an oil drum.
Plans for the OE-82M should include a pedestal, perhaps
made of PVC, a wooden, non-functional mock-up of the az-el mechanism, and
a metal or masonite "trash can". The interior reflector can be made
of masonite or plywood. Experimentation with paints will be required
to produce the proper "look".
